Traditional Midwifery Care
Newly pregnant, and picturing something different?
For a healthy, low-risk pregnancy, giving birth at home with a licensed midwife is a wonderful and safe choice. You stay in the place where you already feel safe, cared for by a midwife that you’ve gotten to know and trust well.
At home you can labor in your own light, listen to your body, and have whoever you prefer in the room. Afterwards you and your baby stay right where you are, snuggled in your own bed while we care for you both.

Caring for you from pregnancy to postpartum
Home Birth
Welcome your baby in your own home, with a midwife who has seen you the whole way through. We bring everything to you, and there is the option for water birth.

Warm water softens the intensity of labor and lets you move freely. We bring the tub, set it up in your home, and support you in or out of the water, whatever feels right in the moment.

Unhurried, hour-long prenatal visits in your home or our office. We’re a phone call away day or night, and once your baby arrives we continue your care through the first six weeks.

Who Will Be With You
A midwife, with Jamie at their side
At every birth you’ll have one of our licensed midwives, Tara or Lizzy, accompanied by Jamie Ropero, our birth assistant.
Tara and Lizzy alternate attending your prenatal and postpartum visits so that you get to know them both equally. They share a call schedule for your birth, so that a midwife is always available. As a birth team, they have attended hundreds of births together in homes across St. Johns County and Northeast Florida.
